Some people don't talk about Bruno, but this podcast certainly does! Our penultimate episode of Summer Of Sharks Season 3 takes a look at Bruno Mattei's CRUEL JAWS from 1995, when shark movies were not exactly in their heyday. This one also takes more than a few liberties as to where it gets its footage from.
Summer Of Sharks stalwart Cait Orton joins us to discuss this must be seen to be believed item from our Italian exploitation cousins. In between the bits where we can't stop laughing, we ask the big questions. Should bad news always be delivered with circus music in the background? What is the actual surname of the character of Dag? Just how many different types on Jaws are there? Did we just hear the Star Wars theme? Did Darren pay 40 quid for the Blu Ray of this movie? All will be revealed in an episode which was immense fun to record.

The third Summer Of Sharks is now in full swing and this time out, there's a guest passenger! We welcome aboard Vinegar Syndrome's Ewen Cant as he brings 2003's RED WATER to the Captain's table! Lou Diamond Phillips, Kristy Swanson and Coolio are among the cast of a made-for-cable TV offering about a freshwater shark menacing the crew of an oil rig...and there's also a heist going on....
Ewen brings his own experience of discovering the film - which is a rare first-time watch for both Hayley and Darren - and your intrepid three talk shark puppets vs CGI, a hero who is refreshingly rubbish in a fight, the nostalgia of ad break fade outs and, of course, Coolio. And! And! AND! There's even a mini quiz in there!

Episode 101 of The HD Movie Podcast is here! As always, Hayley Alice Roberts and Darren Gaskell are your hosts on a continuing tour through movies of any year, any genre and any quality.
The podcast kicks off its second century of episodes with the only film that could follow up the previous delve into movie-related urban legends. It is, of course, 1999's URBAN LEGEND, directed by Jamie Blanks and featuring, among others, a young Jared Leto. Apparently Jared doesn't want to talk about this movie but we do and we will!
We don't just talk about the incredibly attractive cast (although Darren has always been distracted by Rebecca Gayheart). Episode 99: LISTENER’S CHOICE #3 - Restless Natives

Episode 99 of The HD Movie Podcast is here! Hayley Alice Roberts and Darren Gaskell are back to continue their journey through movies of any year, any genre and quality.
Before the podcast clocks up the century, it's time for a third Listener's Choice episode! Hayley and Darren put all of the eclectic selections into the HDMP hat and the film drawn out was 1985's RESTLESS NATIVES, suggested by Kevin Matthews. So we have a film about Scotland, directed by an American, discussed by a Welsh woman and a Yorkshireman.
Two friends, disenchanted by the lack of opportunities in Edinburgh, take to the road and hold up tourist coaches with novelty joke shop items. Do they become Scottish folk heroes in the process? Of course they do! However, the cops are hot on their heels. Did this well-regarded piece of whimsical comedy charm your hosts as much as it did the critics?
