It's Episode 9 of The HD Movie Podcast! Hosts Hayley Alice Roberts and Darren Gaskell present the second and final part of their look at the recent Final Girls Berlin Film Festival. As with the previous episode, the focus is on one block of short films and two features.
The collection of shorts in this instalment is from the "Young Blood" strand, which featured the following:
THE ROUGAROU (dir. Lorraine Caffery)
SHE-PACK (dir. Fanny Oveson)
THE LITTLE DEMON (dir. Carol Van Hemelrijck)
THE CURSE (dir. Ellie Stewart)
BAKEMONO (dir. Sumire Takematsu & Jorge Lucas)
FISH WHISKERS (dir. Roney)
After all of those, it's on to the features with Italian feminist horror fantasy BUIO (dir. Emanuela Rossi). Three sisters are shielded from an apocalytic world outside, but is there something they're not being told? Did this transport our reviewing duo to another world or were their feet left firmly on the ground?
To close, Hayley and Darren get their shift together as they revisit 12 HOUR SHIFT (dir. Brea Grant). Have their opinions shifted on this movie? Obviously that isn't going to be revealed in this summary but you should stick around for the chat.
